Considering this is your first attempt at painting digitally then this is a fine effort. I remember when i first started using a wacom pad, it took me ages to get accustmed to looking at the screen whilst drawing and not at my fingertips.

Its difficult to offer crits without knowing what tools you used. If you've used Photoshop there is an excellent dodge and burn tool for adding subtle tones (the surrounding of the eye is very flat). There are heaps of blend types in the layer panel which would allow you to overlay a texture to give some definition to the skin.

It would be helpful in the future to briefly describe what packages you used.

First attempt though, good effort. Keep it up!

Try not to use the smadge tool as much as it gives you this waxy feel. Insted build up the colurs by blocking out the basics and build them up using different opacitys. Welcome to gfx :)

Indeed, very nice for the first attempt. I like the corner of the eye and the texture of the eyelid best.

As for crits, the first thing I noticed is that the pupil isn't in the centre of the iris, which it should definitely be! Also, I don't understand why only the lids are textured, and the rest is left blank. Then, since you're drawing the eye so up close, might want to pay more attention to eyelashes - they tend to be a little thicker, and then get thinner towards their ends. Since you're using a tablet, it shouldn't be too hard to replicate with some practice. They look alright in the inner corner, but towards the outer corner they're oddly frizzy. Hmm and I think there should be a shadow on the white of the eye right under the upper eyelid.

That said, spam is not nice. :p It's not hard to identify copy-pasted comments from you, and when half the comment consists of 'check out my work', that's just not the way to go.

great start, the airbrush tool, and smudge tool can make very indistint lines but your work is pretty sharp, are you learning digital after mastering a regular airbrush? shows great control. +8
